SIC Sanctions

The Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC) investigates and fines companies and merchants that break Colombia’s consumer-protection rules: usury, missing credit information, misleading advertising, warranty refusals, unfair terms. This is its list of the fines that are final (en firme), about 4,000 since 2013, from its consumer-protection investigations directorate: the case, the resolution that imposed the fine, the date, the party fined, the amount, the conduct and the sector. Financing services, tourism, vehicles, retail and e-commerce lead it. Search by the party’s name, the sector, the case number, the resolution number or the date, or with free text over the party, the conduct and the sector.

`query`	string	Optional words matched against the party, the conduct and the sector.
`party`	string	Optional name of the party fined, matched from the start. Case and accents are ignored.
`sector`	string	Optional sector, e.g. `Servicios de financiación`, `Turismo`, `Comercio electrónico`, matched from the start. Case and accents are ignored.
`case_number`	string	Optional case (radicado), e.g. `24 503714` or `24-503714`.
`resolution_number`	string	Optional number of the resolution that imposed the fine, e.g. `40639`.
`issued_from`	string	Optional: only resolutions issued on or after this date, `yyyy-mm-dd`.
`issued_to`	string	Optional: only resolutions issued on or before this date, `yyyy-mm-dd`.
`page`	integer	1-based page number. Default `1`.
`per_page`	integer	Results per page (1-100). Default `20`.

Returns as_of (how current the data is), the applied filters, total and total_is_exact, page, per_page, total_pages, count and results[], most recent first. Every result carries id, case_number (the radicado, e.g. 24 503714), resolution_number, issued_at, year, sanctioned_party (the person or company fined), amount_cop (the fine in Colombian pesos), conduct (in the Superintendencia’s words), sector and entries (how many times the Superintendencia’s list carries it; 1 almost always).
