The Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC) is Colombia’s industrial-property office, and its Gaceta de la Propiedad Industrial is where every application is published for opposition and every grant is announced. An issue comes out every seven to twelve days in three parts: distinctive signs (trademark applications, collective marks, territorial extensions, slogans, registrations granted, cancellation decisions and rulings), patents (inventions, utility models, PCT national phases and layout designs) and industrial designs. Croma keeps every issue since July 2016, with a copy of each workbook the Superintendencia published, and every entry in them, well over half a million, brought up to date the day an issue appears. Search the entries by the words of a sign or a title, an applicant, owner or agent, a file number, a Nice class, a section, a status or a date of publication; list the issues; read one issue with its sections, its entry count and its workbook.
The whole source, organized and ready to query: every endpoint on this page answers in milliseconds. Every response carries as_of: how current the data is. How datasets work.

Search entries

POST /co/sic-gazette/entries-search/v1 Dataset One search over every entry the gazette has published since 2016, by words, file number, part, section, issue, status, Nice class or date of publication.
Returns as_of (how current the data is), the applied filters, total and total_is_exact, page, per_page, total_pages, count and results[], most recently published first. Every entry carries entry_id, issue_id (e.g. 1116-TM), issue_number, domain (trademarks, patents or designs), section, section_name, published_at, file_number (the expediente), procedure, application_type (patents and designs), filed_at, title (the sign or the title of the invention or design), sign_nature, nice_classes[], color_claim, priority as printed and priorities[] (country, number, date), status as printed (Publicada, Registrada, Publicada sin pago, Publicado), applicant, owner and cancellation_petitioner (cancellations and judgments), agent, inventor_or_designer, the PCT numbers and date, classification[] with classification_system (ipc or locarno), court_file_number, document_url and source_document_url. Several people in one field are separated by ; . section is one of trademarks (applications for marks), collective_marks, territorial_extensions (international registrations extended to Colombia), slogans, registrations (marks granted), cancellation_decisions, nullity_judgments (rulings of the Consejo de Estado on a mark), patents, utility_models, pct_patents, layout_designs, industrial_designs and judgment_publications (rulings the gazette was ordered to publish); section_name is the section as the gazette names it. document_url is Croma’s copy of the issue’s workbook (XLSX), byte for byte as the Superintendencia published it, which stays available whatever happens at the source; source_document_url is always null, since the source gives the workbook no stable link of its own.
The copy starts with issue 766 (July 29, 2016) and gains a new issue every seven to twelve days, the day it is published.

List issues

POST /co/sic-gazette/issues-search/v1 Dataset The issues the gazette has published, newest first, with what each part carried.

Every issue carries issue_id (e.g. 1116-TM), number, domain, published_at, sections[] and section_names[], entry_count, generated_at (when the Superintendencia generated the workbook), file_name, document_url, source_document_url and bytes. document_url is Croma’s copy of the issue’s workbook (XLSX), byte for byte as the Superintendencia published it, which stays available whatever happens at the source; source_document_url is always null, since the source gives the workbook no stable link of its own.

One issue

POST /co/sic-gazette/issue/v1 Dataset

Every issue carries issue_id (e.g. 1116-TM), number, domain, published_at, sections[] and section_names[], entry_count, generated_at (when the Superintendencia generated the workbook), file_name, document_url, source_document_url and bytes. document_url is Croma’s copy of the issue’s workbook (XLSX), byte for byte as the Superintendencia published it, which stays available whatever happens at the source; source_document_url is always null, since the source gives the workbook no stable link of its own.

Source: SIC, Gaceta de la Propiedad Industrial. Official public publication of the Colombian government. Croma reshapes the entries into the fields above and keeps the original workbooks.
