El Salvador’s Ministerio de Turismo publishes the country’s official tourism directory: about 3,800 places, among them 124 destinations filed under themes such as Surf City, Bitcoin destinations, nature and adventure, archaeological parks, towns and wellness, 52 public and private tourist sites, some 2,200 restaurants, 500 lodgings, 370 transport services, recreation and tourist information, surf schools and 300 certified tour guides with the languages they work in. Businesses inscribed in the national tourism registry are flagged as such, and each place comes with its department and town and, for businesses, the contact details the directory publishes. The Ministerio also keeps an agenda of festivals, fairs, concerts and cultural events across the country. Search the directory by kind, theme, department, town, guide language or free text, then read any place in full, with the description and photos of each destination. Search the agenda by date range, department or free text.
The whole source, organized and ready to query: every endpoint on this page answers in milliseconds. Every response carries as_of: how current the data is. How datasets work.

Search places

POST /sv/mitur-sv/places-search/v1 Dataset One search over the whole directory, filtered by kind, theme, department, town, guide language or registry status.
Returns as_of (how current the data is), the applied filters, total and total_is_exact, page, per_page, total_pages, count and results[]: best match first when query is given, then businesses in the national tourism registry, then the most recently updated. Every result carries id (the place’s permanent id in the directory, e.g. 2905), slug, name, kind, themes, guide_level (for guides: site, local or national), registered (inscribed in the national tourism registry), access (for tourist sites: public or private), department, municipality, region, languages (for guides), hours, phones, emails, address, website, whatsapp, social_links, official_url (the place’s page on the official tourism site) and updated_at. Guides carry their name, languages, level and area, never their personal contacts: phones, emails and address are empty for them.
Search results leave out a destination’s description and photos. Read them with the El Salvador Tourism Place endpoint.

One place, in full

POST /sv/mitur-sv/place/v1 Dataset
Returns as_of, found, place_id and place, which carries everything the search returns plus description (the Ministerio’s text about a destination) and photos[]: each with document_url (Croma’s copy of the photo, byte for byte as published, which stays available whatever happens to the original link) and source_document_url (the photo on the official site).
An id, slug or link the directory does not hold returns found: false with HTTP 200, not an error.

Search events

POST /sv/mitur-sv/events-search/v1 Dataset The official agenda, soonest first, by date range, department or free text.
Returns as_of, the applied filters (with the from_date actually used), total and total_is_exact, page, per_page, total_pages, count and results[], soonest first. Each event carries id, slug, name, start_date, end_date, venue, department, links (the organiser’s page, tickets or a post, when the agenda gives them), official_url and updated_at.
Without from_date, the search returns events that have not ended yet, counted from today in El Salvador.
