# SIC Industrial Property Gazette

> Colombia's official gazette of trademarks, patents and industrial designs: search every entry published since 2016 by sign, title, party, file number, class, section or date, list the issues and read any one with its workbook.

The Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC) is Colombia's industrial-property office, and its Gaceta de la Propiedad Industrial is where every application is published for opposition and every grant is announced. An issue comes out every seven to twelve days in three parts: distinctive signs (trademark applications, collective marks, territorial extensions, slogans, registrations granted, cancellation decisions and rulings), patents (inventions, utility models, PCT national phases and layout designs) and industrial designs. Croma keeps every issue since July 2016, with a copy of each workbook the Superintendencia published, and every entry in them, well over half a million, brought up to date the day an issue appears.

Search the entries by the words of a sign or a title, an applicant, owner or agent, a file number, a Nice class, a section, a status or a date of publication; list the issues; read one issue with its sections, its entry count and its workbook.

<Note>
  The whole source, organized and ready to query: every endpoint on this page answers in milliseconds. Every response carries `as_of`: how current the data is. [How datasets work](/datasets).
</Note>

## Search entries

`POST /co/sic-gazette/entries-search/v1` <a className="dataset-pill" href="/datasets">Dataset</a>

One search over every entry the gazette has published since 2016, by words, file number, part, section, issue, status, Nice class or date of publication.

| Field | Type | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| `query` | string | Optional words to find in the sign or title, the applicant, the owner, the agent or the file number, e.g. `cafe`. Every word must appear. |
| `file_number` | string | Optional file number, matched from the start, e.g. `SD2026/0099552` for one file or `NC2026/` for every new-creation file of 2026. |
| `domain` | enum | Optional part of the gazette: `trademarks` (distinctive signs), `patents` (inventions, utility models and layout designs) or `designs` (industrial designs). |
| `section` | string | Optional section slug, e.g. `trademarks`, `registrations`, `territorial_extensions`, `pct_patents`, `industrial_designs`. Every slug is listed below. |
| `issue_number` | integer | Optional issue number, e.g. `1116`. `0` searches every issue. Default `0`. |
| `status` | string | Optional status as printed, e.g. `Publicada`, `Registrada`, `Publicada sin pago`, `Publicado`. Case and accents are ignored. |
| `nice_class` | integer | Optional Nice class, 1 to 45, e.g. `25` (clothing). `0` searches every class. Default `0`. |
| `from_date` | string | Optional: only entries published on or after this date, `yyyy-mm-dd`. |
| `to_date` | string | Optional: only entries published on or before this date, `yyyy-mm-dd`. |
| `page` | integer | 1-based page number. Default `1`. |
| `per_page` | integer | Results per page (1-50). Default `20`. |

```bash theme={"dark"}
curl https://api.croma.run/co/sic-gazette/entries-search/v1 \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $CROMA_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{ "query": "cafe", "domain": "trademarks", "section": "trademarks" }'
```

Returns `as_of` (how current the data is), the applied filters, `total` and `total_is_exact`, `page`, `per_page`, `total_pages`, `count` and `results[]`, most recently published first. Every entry carries `entry_id`, `issue_id` (e.g. `1116-TM`), `issue_number`, `domain` (`trademarks`, `patents` or `designs`), `section`, `section_name`, `published_at`, `file_number` (the expediente), `procedure`, `application_type` (patents and designs), `filed_at`, `title` (the sign or the title of the invention or design), `sign_nature`, `nice_classes[]`, `color_claim`, `priority` as printed and `priorities[]` (`country`, `number`, `date`), `status` as printed (`Publicada`, `Registrada`, `Publicada sin pago`, `Publicado`), `applicant`, `owner` and `cancellation_petitioner` (cancellations and judgments), `agent`, `inventor_or_designer`, the PCT numbers and date, `classification[]` with `classification_system` (`ipc` or `locarno`), `court_file_number`, `document_url` and `source_document_url`. Several people in one field are separated by `; `. `section` is one of `trademarks` (applications for marks), `collective_marks`, `territorial_extensions` (international registrations extended to Colombia), `slogans`, `registrations` (marks granted), `cancellation_decisions`, `nullity_judgments` (rulings of the Consejo de Estado on a mark), `patents`, `utility_models`, `pct_patents`, `layout_designs`, `industrial_designs` and `judgment_publications` (rulings the gazette was ordered to publish); `section_name` is the section as the gazette names it. `document_url` is Croma's copy of the issue's workbook (XLSX), byte for byte as the Superintendencia published it, which stays available whatever happens at the source; `source_document_url` is always null, since the source gives the workbook no stable link of its own.

<Note>
  The copy starts with issue 766 (July 29, 2016) and gains a new issue every seven to twelve days, the day it is published.
</Note>

## List issues

`POST /co/sic-gazette/issues-search/v1` <a className="dataset-pill" href="/datasets">Dataset</a>

The issues the gazette has published, newest first, with what each part carried.

| Field | Type | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| `domain` | enum | Optional part of the gazette: `trademarks` (distinctive signs), `patents` (inventions, utility models and layout designs) or `designs` (industrial designs). |
| `from_date` | string | Optional: only issues published on or after this date, `yyyy-mm-dd`. |
| `to_date` | string | Optional: only issues published on or before this date, `yyyy-mm-dd`. |
| `page` | integer | 1-based page number. Default `1`. |
| `per_page` | integer | Results per page (1-50). Default `20`. |

```bash theme={"dark"}
curl https://api.croma.run/co/sic-gazette/issues-search/v1 \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $CROMA_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{ "domain": "trademarks", "from_date": "2026-01-01" }'
```

Returns `as_of` (how current the data is), the applied filters, `total` and `total_is_exact`, `page`, `per_page`, `total_pages`, `count` and `results[]`, most recently published first. Every issue carries `issue_id` (e.g. `1116-TM`), `number`, `domain`, `published_at`, `sections[]` and `section_names[]`, `entry_count`, `generated_at` (when the Superintendencia generated the workbook), `file_name`, `document_url`, `source_document_url` and `bytes`. `document_url` is Croma's copy of the issue's workbook (XLSX), byte for byte as the Superintendencia published it, which stays available whatever happens at the source; `source_document_url` is always null, since the source gives the workbook no stable link of its own.

## One issue

`POST /co/sic-gazette/issue/v1` <a className="dataset-pill" href="/datasets">Dataset</a>

| Field | Type | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| `number` | integer | **Required.** The issue number, e.g. `1116`. |
| `domain` | enum | **Required.** The part: `trademarks`, `patents` or `designs`. |

```bash theme={"dark"}
curl https://api.croma.run/co/sic-gazette/issue/v1 \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $CROMA_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{ "number": 1116, "domain": "trademarks" }'
```

Returns `as_of`, `found`, `number`, `domain` and `issue`.

<Note>
  An issue the copy does not hold (a number not yet published, or a part an issue did not carry: a few carry no designs) returns `found: false` with HTTP 200, not an error.
