# ReTHUS

> Check whether a person is registered to practice a health profession in Colombia, by document: titles, authorizing acts and sanctions from ReTHUS.

Looks up a person in the Registro Único Nacional de Talento Humano en Salud
(ReTHUS), the Ministerio de Salud's register of who is authorized to practice a
health profession or occupation in Colombia.

`POST /co/rethus/health-professional/v1` [Live](https://docs.usecroma.com/live-lookups.md)

| Field | Type | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| `document_type` | enum | `CC`, `CE`, `TI` or `PPT`. Defaults to `CC`. Default `CC`. |
| `document_number` | string | **Required.** Document number, 5-12 digits. |

```bash theme={"dark"}
curl https://api.croma.run/co/rethus/health-professional/v1 \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $CROMA_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{ "document_type": "CC", "document_number": "1234567890" }'
```

The response echoes the document that was looked up and lists what the register holds for it:

| Field | Notes |
| - | - |
| `found` | `false` when the document is not in the register; identity fields are then `null` and the lists are empty. |
| `full_name` | Names and surnames on the register, or `null` when not found. |
| `first_name` / `middle_name` / `first_last_name` / `second_last_name` | The name parts as the register keeps them; `null` when absent. |
| `identity_status` | Status of the identity document as the register reports it, e.g. `Vigente` or `Fallecido`. |
| `titles[]` | One entry per title the person is registered under: `program_type` (e.g. `UNV`, `AUX`), `title_origin` (e.g. `Local`), `profession`, `practice_start_date` (`YYYY-MM-DD`), `administrative_act` and `reporting_entity`. |
| `social_service[]` | Mandatory social service records, each keyed by the register's own column headings. Empty when there are none. |
| `sanctions[]` | Sanctions on record, each keyed by the register's own column headings. Empty when there are none. |
| `checked_at` | ISO timestamp of when the answer was read. |

> [!NOTE]
>
> A person can hold several titles, for example an auxiliary title and a later
> professional one, each authorized by its own administrative act.
