# Policía Nacional: corrective measures

> Check whether a person or company has pending corrective measures in Colombia's Registro Nacional de Medidas Correctivas (RNMC), by document.

Checks the Policía Nacional's Registro Nacional de Medidas Correctivas (RNMC),
the register of corrective measures imposed under the Código Nacional de
Seguridad y Convivencia Ciudadana (Ley 1801 de 2016): fines, community work and
the other measures for breaches of public order and coexistence.

| Field | Type | Notes |

| `document_type` | enum | `CC`, `CE`, `PA`, `DPO` (foreign identity document) or `NIT` (a company). Defaults to `CC`. Default `CC`. |
| `document_number` | string | **Required.** Document number. For `NIT`, without the check digit. |
| `issue_date` | string | The cédula's issue date, `yyyy-mm-dd`. Required for `CC`, ignored otherwise. |

The response echoes the document that was checked and carries the register's verdict:

| Field | Notes |
| - | - |
| `found` | `false` when the register refused the check because `issue_date` does not match the cédula; the verdict fields are then `null` and `message` says why. |
| `full_name` | The name the register prints for a cédula. `null` for other document types, and for a number the register does not know. |
| `has_pending_measures` | `false` for the clean verdict ("NO TIENE MEDIDAS CORRECTIVAS PENDIENTES POR CUMPLIR"); `true` when corrective measures are pending. |
| `status` | The verdict sentence, verbatim. |
| `pending_measures[]` | The pending measures listed with the verdict, each keyed by the register's own column headings. Empty when there are none. |
| `validation_number` | The "Registro interno de validación" number stamped on this check. |
| `checked_at` | When the register answered (ISO 8601, Colombia time). |
| `message` | The register's full answer in plain text. |

> The register answers every number: one it does not know gets the clean
> verdict with no name. For a cédula, a `full_name` in the answer is what
> confirms the register matched the person.
