# MinEducación

> Education indicators per municipality since 2011: coverage, dropout, approval, failure and repetition for every Colombian municipality and year, overall and by level.

The Ministerio de Educación Nacional (MinEducación) publishes, for each of Colombia's \~1,120 municipalities and each school year since 2011, the core indicators of preschool, primary and secondary education: the population aged 5 to 16 and how much of it is enrolled, net and gross coverage, and the share of pupils who drop out, pass, fail or repeat a grade, overall and by level (transición, primaria, secundaria, media). About 15,700 municipality-years.

Filter by a municipality's or a department's DIVIPOLA code, by year, or by name.

One row per municipality and year, newest year first.

| `query` | string | Optional words matched against the municipality and department names. |
| `territory_code` | string | Optional DIVIPOLA code: 5 digits for one municipality (e.g. `05001`, Medellín), 2 digits for every municipality of a department (e.g. `05`). |
| `year` | integer | Optional school year, from 2011. `0` returns every year. Default `0`. |
| `page` | integer | 1-based page number. Default `1`. |
| `per_page` | integer | Results per page (1-100). Default `20`. |

Returns `as_of` (how current the data is), the applied filters, `total`, `page`, `per_page`, `total_pages`, `count` and `results[]`. Every result carries `id`, `year`, `territory_code` and `territory_name` (the municipality), `department_code`, `department_name`, `certified_entity_code` and `certified_entity_name` (the certified territorial entity, ETC, that runs its public schools), `population_5_16`, `enrollment_rate_5_16`, and six indicators, each with `total`, `transition`, `primary`, `lower_secondary` and `upper_secondary`, in percent: `net_coverage`, `gross_coverage`, `dropout`, `approval`, `failure` and `repetition`. `average_group_size` and `schools_with_internet` are published for 2011 to 2017 only.
